Expectation #1 is wrong. I had one web site that was on the first page of Yahoo in about a month.

Nicely done, I love the passion!

gkam2 January 17, 2009 at 7:52 pm

sagerock January 19, 2009 at 2:16 pm

Thanks so much seofirm! I really appreciate the kind words.

For those business owners that need this extra “kick in the butt” realistic level of SEO expectations spelled out to them, this is a very thorough and realistic video to show them [even before starting their SEO campaign].

Hi Sage, as president of an organic SEO firm too, I very much agree that many SEO clients (despite your continual SEO education/training throughout the next 365 days with them), have different [and inaccurate] illusions about how their Web site should be “seen” and ranked for their keyword in search engines. Great job pin pointing the most popular questions business owners ask SEO firms during their commitment.

Hmmm. A couple of wake up calls for yours truly on this vid. I’m still glad you posted it, though – thanks for some kick *** valuable information that is probably going to save me a lot of time.

Five stars easily on this one.

Very realistic grounded advice to a newbie.

Oh crap. I just accidentally removed a guys comment. I was going towards “Reply” and hit “Remove” by accident. I’m sleepy I guess. He just said with all my energy he thought I was going to start cussing the world out. It has happened before :) Sorry ’bout that.

Interesting points and issues I am continually (nearly daily) explaining again and again to clients. This is a nice assumation of the general expectations of SEO and ranking on Google etc.

Will indeed be referring this vid to clients to ensure them that im not just pulling the wool over their eyes as they can be influenced by the “but I know another site that did it in 3 weeks syndrome”.

Quilst February 4, 2009 at 8:58 pm

(dot) hr – sorry about that

Quilst February 6, 2009 at 8:01 am

THX 4 the info but there is one thing I don’t agree with you. I have a domain GSD-osijek1784(.)com and is crappy as hell and it only took google 2 weeks and I am already indexed. How about that?

overtext February 7, 2009 at 9:13 pm

mathvideosonline February 13, 2009 at 12:46 pm

So true! Thanks!

tgl9000 February 13, 2009 at 6:50 pm

Ironic that he only has 960 hits on youtube.

sagerock February 14, 2009 at 3:21 am

I would say if it appears your seo is doing something sneaky or convert, I would definitely can them. However, good results from a reputable seo can take a lot of time.

SeinfeldCentral February 16, 2009 at 6:27 am

You say to trust your SEO for 365 days.. I’m not sure I agree with you. You can tell if the SEO firm you are working with is on the right path almost immediately. I strongly caution people to do your research when hiring a firm. There’s no magic potion out there… beware of the snake oil salesman.

Em24 February 18, 2009 at 1:56 pm

This was very informative for a student like me.

sagerock February 21, 2009 at 7:59 pm

I’m so glad you liked it. Thanks for writing.
